My 2nd son has all the tools to play CFB & gets his first varsity start Friday
Freshman, recently turned 14 but is 6'3 175 (he builds muscle well and will add weight ...)

Plays DE primarily, but they have played him at MLB in JV games where he has dominated and has a great natural ability to get to the ball and make the play. I eventually see him as an OLB/DE hybrid a la Alani Fua or KVN.

Has good top speed but is not super explosive yet with his first couple of steps (body still filling out through this growth spurt). If he developes that ... the sky's the limit.

A cool thing about living here in Tuscaloosa is that his DC and DE position coach (also their off season strength and conditioning coach) is none other than John Copeland. He's a local hero and was a consensus All-Ameican at DE for the Tide and was the #5 overall pick in the NFL draft, playing 9 years for the Bengals. How cool is that to be coached as a HS freshman by someone like that?!?
