If they beat ASU they'll finish 7th, behind Stanford-Oregon-Wash St-Utah-USC-UCLA. I've heard they can reach down a ranking if it helps avoid a rematch, but would they really pass on UCLA for Cal to avoid a BYU-UCLA rematch? I think more likely they'd take UCLA and take the MWC champ. I don't envision a scenario where Cal plays in the Vegas Bowl. There is 3 games that matter, Utah-Colorado, Asu-Cal, and USC-UCLA. If Utah loses, we get them. If Utah wins and USC loses, we get USC. If Utah and USC win, we get ASU if they beat Cal or UCLA if Cal beats ASU.
