I watched all 6 movies over the last two weeks and I don't get the ep 1 hate
It's just as cheesy as the other 5, why is this episode singled out? Is jar jar really any worse than the other characters? Go watch Luke or Anakin's terrible acting and tell me they did better than jar jar.
I'll see the new one on opening day because it's Star Wars, but watching the movies now, it's tough to appreciate them.
