Been to the Manila Temple twice. By the way, something my wife and I did the last two trips we made on missions, we made plans for some sightseeing. In the Philippines, we spent a few days at Palawan with our son, which was wonderful. Just spent a few days hanging out at the beach (no swimming), catching up, before we returned to tour the mission. With our son in Peru, we visited the mission first, then spent our final days going to cool tourist places. Still, by far the best part of those visits is meeting all the members and other people who loved our sons. We are still in touch with some people we met in the Philippines in 2005.
