You need to look at a population density map. KC and SL might be big cities,
but it's the midwest. You leave the cities and there's a whole lot of nothing. South Carolina is on the east coast, where the population, and therefore talent, is throughout the entire state. Plus, South Carolina gets to recruit NC, where there are no good football schools, and we've been raiding Georgia fairly well the past several years, plus picking through Florida, Virginia, and Tennessee.

Obviously I'm biased, but I do think getting talent to Mizzou is a little tougher than finding it at Carolina.
