True, but regardless of density, Missouri has 1M+ more people
And no equivalent to Clemson in state, so that's 6M people per FBS school, as opposed to 2.4M.

And that's not including the portions of KC and SL spilling over into adjoining states, which states have weak competition for recruits. Terry Beckner, for example, is from East St Louis, but Mizzou always had a better shot at him than Illinois.

And Mizzou has made strong headway in recruiting in Georgia and Florida. They did a great job at plucking guys out of Texas for years in the Big 12 (Sam, Daniels, Weatherspoon, etc.). They're shifting focus but I expect they'll be at least somewhat similarly successful.

Looks like competition in NC is heating up with Duke having improved and UNC definitely having improved, plus NC State competing for recruits.

I think no both jobs are good, but if the new staff can really seal Missouri's borders and keep guys like Ezekiel Elliot etc. from leaving, Mizzou will be in a pretty prime position.

Personally, I'd take either over some of the more pressure cooker jobs.
