However unlikely, we could make the CFP if somehow all of the planets aligned
We would need a to have a Beck/Collie/Pitta offense combined with a Ziggy/KVN defense in the same year. And we would need all of those major contributors to go injury-free all year, but as long as we're talking about a hypothetical ceiling, it could happen. Heck, 2010 Boise State was one missed FG from being a serious candidate for the BCS championship game.
