What will it take? A player to actually die?

I can't believe how cavalier some fans are with player safety. It was a tough situation. He had committed to hitting the player.

Could he have avoided it? probably not after fully committing to the hit like he did.

Did the Iowa player contribute to the circumstances for that hit by laying out for the pass? Probably.

What's the solution? Throwing guys out of the game when things like this happen so they can figure out a different approach.

The hit was unnecessary. It was dangerous. It was reckless. It needs to stop.
