Enjoying a good dinner at Texas Roadhouse tonight. A large group with a bunch of little kids comes in. (Why you would bring small children to a place like TRH and not just hire a babysitter and order them a pizza is a worthwhile question, but I digress). The hostess shows them to the table near me with 12 spots and extra room for highchairs.
The lady starts ripping into the hostess in a very rude and condescending matter and demands another table, since they have 15 in their group and apparently the little kids who are most likely going to end up with a bowl of Mac n Cheese need their own spots as well.
Really? You're going to rip into the hostess?? A high school aged kid just doing her job? Because you think your little kids need all that extra space for their Mac n Cheese.
Now, to be fair, I can understand wanting a bigger table for more elbow room with a big party. But, there's a perfectly polite way to address that, and going off on the hostess is just plain strange behavior.
People are incredible.
