make sense one must accept your premise that even with Taysom and Jamaal, only Wagner was a sure win. As if all the rest were coin tosses. Sorry, but I think more of BYU football than to think that games against USU, SJSU, and a bunch of other sub-par programs should make me nervous.
And I get tired of people talking about how "daunting" this schedule looked at the beginning of the season. The reality is that the first 4 games looked daunting. But the 8 games after that, collectively, looked and were very weak. So say what you want about the 2-2 start, but pardon me for failing to gush over going 7-1 from that point forward against a very weak schedule.
Your post makes it sound like BYU should have zero expectations as a football program. I respectfully disagree. And those who believe like you do should not be surprised when BYU gets passed over for a big conference invite. No power conference should want to join forces with a program as weak as the one you describe.
