For BYU's SOS (54th), we fared better than most. If you take a sampling of 5 tougher and 5 weaker teams
right next to BYU, only two teams have a better record (Navy & Northwestern). If you broaden it out another 5 teams on each side, only one additional team has a better record (Iowa).
So when comparing other teams with relatively the same schedule, BYU is faring much better than most. And not to mention, our toughest games were all on the road, except for perhaps Boise...
This firmly places BYU where we know they are, a better than average team coached by a better than average coach...
