Totally. But unfortunately they are given prestige by the media, players
and fans. I think earning all-NBA honors is a much greater accomplishment, but when discussing a player, you never hear "Kobe Bryant, 16 time all-NBA", you hear "Kobe Bryant, 17 time all-star". I know it means a ton to the players.
