I don't expect it to happen, but if they end up 9-3 they will be mentioned playing a tough schedule and worthy of a better bowl than they are tied to at the end of the season.
9-3 next year is wishful thinking though. 7-5 or 6-6 may be more realistic. My reasoning. BYU has not shown they can beat middle and lower tier P5 teams on a regular basis. They find a way to struggle or lose to them. They will be fortunate to go 4-4 through the first eight games next year and then finish 3-1 in the remaining 4 games.
As a BYU fan you need to enjoy the games and hope by game 3 or 4 that they don't collapse like they did against Michigan. I can see the West Virginia, Michigan State and Boise State games away from home as possible blowouts or sound defeats. Sorry, just not enough talent or depth at this point.
