P12 has a 9-game conference schedule
Big 10 is doing the same next year. SEC might also soon.
The Big12 doesn't appear to be too eager to schedule BYU.
So I'd say some sort of P5 scheduling alliance is not likely to happen. We already do have a lot of P12 games scheduled though.
