100 wins in 11 years? Thoughts on Bronco..
Looking over the last 11 years under Bronco, I wanted to do some fact checking and put it out there for all of CB to mull over.

In Bronco' tenure he has:

99 wins to 42 losses.
70% Win percentage.
NOTE: If we get the Bowl game Bronco will have 100 wins in 11 years. That is an average of 9 wins per season.

Bowl Games: 6-4. (Been to a bowl game every year since Head coach)
Against P5 Teams : 3-3
Against Non P5 Teams: 3-1

Regular Season: 93-38
71% Win percentage
Against P5 Teams: 14-20
Against Non P5 Teams: 80-17

Here is where I think the 3 biggest complaints come against Bronco:

1. Head to Head against the P5 Teams. Bronco overall has an 17-23 record against P5 teams 43% Win percentage. This is not bad IMO. He has fared well against the P5 teams of the world.

2. ***Head to Head against Yewts: This is the biggest complaint out there. Going 3-6 against your rival is never a good thing. But can we truly call the Yewts a rival any longer. It is becoming more and more clear that both of these teams are going separate ways. I hate to say it, but BSU and (ugh) USU are more rivals for us now that the Yewts.

Records against these 3 under Bronco:

Yewts: 3-6
USU: 7-2
BSU: 2-2

3. Yewts get invite to the P5 and BYU did not. This in a round about way has been Bronco' fault in the minds of many here on CB because of his track record against P5 teams and the Yewts. This IMO is more of a guilty by association and not results on the field for Bronco. On the field IMO, BYU is deserving of a P5 invite, but other factors play into why BYU is not and those have been discussed on here in great length so I wont go into it with this post.

In all, Bronco is a good coach. He does more for the program than a lot of us realize. He has some big stumbling blocks in front of him that he has to juggle where other coaches in CFB do not. I just hope that all on this board would take a step back and think of two things before you start asking for Bronco' resignation as a fan base:

1. Who else is out there that has a proven track record that would come to BYU with its limitations?
2. Is Bronco the real issue to your angst with BYU, or is it the Admin, being INDY, Yewts in the P5 or other?

Society likes to find a scapegoat to cast blame on. I think Bronco is that scapegoat for many.

Just food for thought.

GO COUGS!!, Get that 100th win this year for Bronco!!!
