At UCLA, Tanner was picking apart the UCLA defense by standing in the pocket and delivering timed throws. He marched the offense, eating up 10-15 yards at a time. Since then, it seems like he's holding onto the ball too long and looking for the deep ball way too much. And the result has been a lot of 3rd and very longs, which we haven't been good at converting.
