Inspiration for the MCA came from 15-20 different facilities, but BYU's is somewhat unique.

There's enough room on either side of the court for players to get in shot work. They have 2.5 courts to work with.

There is a possibility with this new facility that BYU could host an NCAA regional. BYU has put in bids to host in SLC recently.

The biggest factor working against BYU to host an NCAA bid is hotel rooms.

The location of the MCA was chosen because it is closest to the locker rooms for the athletes which were just recently renovated.
