You think USU is going to the Cactus bowl?
That is a B12/PAC game unless they don't have enough eligible teams...
It is possible with the B12 likely getting OU into the playoff. But if that bowl for more money is available do you think it will be the 6-6 team in a 4 way tie for 2nd in their division and the worst record of those 4 would go to that game?
My guess if this falls into the MWC lap it will go to your champion especially if it pays out more and pits them against the PAC #7 team vs the #6 team they'd get in LV.
