It seems that most agree on CB agree that Bronco is not an elite coach and there are certainly some valid arguments for BYU and Bronco to head their different ways (losses to Utah, head scratching losses, poor personnel decisions, poor coaching hires, etc). If this were to happen, what are the odds that BYU will get something better than the current bowl game every season and averaging 9+ wins?
While Bronco drives me crazy at times (like when I watched his defense against Missouri or USU or with any clock management situation) I think BYU would really struggle to get something better. BYU is performing at about the same level as they have for the last 40 years. My dream is to have BYU go to the Rose Bowl one time in my life. It's not going to happen this year but it hasn't happened for schools like Cal, Arizona, Oregon State, Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, or Illinois etc in my life time either. I think BYU's magical season is as likely to happen with Bronco as anyone else.
