Even though when I played football they never classified routes as "vertical" or otherwise. But the post route is what made the safety bite and lose coverage on Mitch.

Right. most consider Fly/Go, Post and Flag/Corner routes as vertical routes.

Right, Mitch runs a Go, Devon a Post. The 2 WRs on the left run short routes
