I personally would say it's far superior to a Tyme iron.
From everything I've heard, Tyme irons aren't great quality and fry your hair. It's got gold plates instead of ceramic and only one heat setting. For a $200 iron, it should have great reviews for that price.

All the reviews I've read have been very negative. They don't even sell it on folica.com.

Personally, no way would I trust it. Sedu irons have literally thousands of 5 star reviews. I highly recommend them.
