While I do recall Taysom being very clear about being more of a passer
I still don't believe that their successes have to be mutually exclusive. I think, above all else, these two guys are highly competitive and want to be a part of a special generation of players at the Y. Taysom was likely just as disappointed and shocked as the rest of us when JSwag had to step away, but he was saying the right things at the time about having to move on and adapt w/o JSwag. I don't think JSwag takes that and thinks that he and Taysom cannot both be in for big years and win a lot of games next year. Besides, JSwag's biggest issue is not who is at QB, but rather the stable of backs that BYU will have next year. He'll have a Sr. Algie Brown and most likely up-and-comers Canada and West looking to prove themselves and earn carries. JSwag has a record to break, which will require a lot of work vs. tough opponents while on the other hand Canada is sick of sitting out and West (if eligible) is not the type of player to just sit on the sideline. I could even see Burt moving back to DB.
