The combination of those two things trumps everything else to me. I don't believe in the "eye test" and only look at SOS when necessary to break a tie if another team is a champ with one loss. I know others don't agree and like the beauty pageant aspect to college football. I think it is silly. If I had a vote, I would vote in any undefeated MWC team over any team with one loss, because I believe in on field results that much.
