I haven't watched Utah play yet this year...
...but Poeltl seems to be doing a better job staying out of foul trouble and their lack of athleticism and speed will match up well with BYU's lack of athleticism and speed. The Miami game was just a bad matchup for Utah. Superior size, speed and athletic ability just overwhelmed the Utes. It will be a more even matchup tomorrow.

Last year they had a very calm, cool and seasoned NBA D-League level Point Guard to control the tempo (ie slow the game down), create open looks for teammates, lead the defensive effort and get to the rim and get his own shot in crunch time. He was the difference down the stretch vs BYU. This year they don't have that. The question will be:

can BYU speed the game up and get Utah to run at their speed?

Does BYU have the right mix of Bigs that can do what Luke Worthington, Corbin K and Isaac Neilson did last year to Poeltl (hold him to 6 pts and 7 rebs)?

Can BYU get more guys involved in the perimeter offense and spread Utah's defense out so KC and the BYU Bigs can work inside and get Poeltl in foul trouble?

Can BYU play enough defense to limit the damage Jordan Loveridge and Poeltl can do?

-and the biggest question of all and most important to the chances for BYU to pull out a win:

Will the game be officiated by Pac12 refs who will favor Utah and call fouls on BYU at a 2:1 clip or will we get normal, unbiased refs who will call a fair and even game? (***the million dollar question!***)
