crap. Why does Stanford and USC, and the like play Notre Dame(also an independent)? Better yet why is BYU getting decent scheduling agreements with other PAC schools in the very near future? I kinda get the whole it puts a toll on us in the regular season to play BYU, but is Utah going to get a bowl opponent with a whole lot more cache than BYU? Seeing that BYU is just outside of the rankings Utah beating BYU would certainly put Utah up in the polls if they won. The whole rivalry smack of we don't need you, you suck, and the like is funny, but stupid. The yewts can say what they want about winning 4 in a row.... Lets be honest...where those games very close and down to the wire? Nearly all of them, so it is in fact a good game, and the Utes won't get a much better opponent the way that they tanked at the end of the season, and lost there biggest play-maker.
