a year in which they played a very tough schedule with Notre Dame, Boise St on the road, and games versus USC and Stanford. In 2005 BYU had a much easier non conference schedule playing Boston College and Eastern Illinois instead of Boise St and USC. Remember Bronco was already the DC so it was more like year 3 or 4 on defense. The precedent for a rapid turnaround was not set here at BYU for sure.
