Overall their defense was outstanding, but
they dug just about everything that was hit their way. I was really impressed with how great their defense was. Even when Santa Barbara was able to hit around the block, BYU simply dug it up.Overall they're passing was outstanding and the sets were flawless.

The only thing I noticed was I felt Durkin set Patch too much - or to predictably . As good as Patch is, Sander is also outstanding and with him on the opposite side of Patch the setter should be going back-and-forth a little bit more to keep the defense off balance. It was especially noticeable at the end of the match when they kept going back to Patch and he was going up against three blockers each time. Patch also need to seriously work on his serving. I honestly think he only got two serves in the whole match. Even when he tried to do a floater he had it out. I know serving has been a sore spot for the whole team this year, but for the most part the team did well with that last night, except for patch. I'm sure he'll kick it into gear tonight.

But besides that they were completely dominant. What excites me, is that this team is fueled by all those sophomores! They should be good for a long time. They are a fun team. Last observation: the Labero looks like Brian from the Breakfast Club. It was cracking me up.
