Would I support him staying had he not left? Yes
Would I agree with BYU firing him? No
With that said I support him in his decision to move on. The timing felt right. If you compare his stats vs. Lavell's, Bronco measures up.
I see no reason whatsoever to whine about Bronco's ability has a head coach other than maybe his inability to beat Utah the last five years. With that said Utah was a better team and on paper should beat us. On the whole his teams performed well under ever-increasing recruiting limitations. I realize Sitake gives you a warm fuzzy at the moment but he will have to overcome the same limitations. We will not know if he's been successful for three or four years.
I get it that Bronco didn't sufficiently stroke the inner thighs of many fans. I personally do not give a yewt about that knowing that BYU fans aren't particularly knowledgeable about the game and that most haven't ever had experience coaching anything more than their daughter's youth soccer team.
