Hopefully it stops the insanity.

I did learn that a fraud alert does not prevent people from opening checking and saving accounts, but I believe the freeze will. And Wells Fargo almost opened a credit card account despite the fraud alert. I will never bank with Wells Fargo. They have been horrible to work with and trust random guy over the phone with a Texas DL and PA address instead of me in the branch with photo ID.
