it looks like he was anticipating the denver player's arm to push it away. Caused him to hesitate. In hindsight, of course he would have been better off jumping on it. But I understand the hesitation. Similar to when a player goes up for a layup expecting contact, and doesn't get it. Makes him look like an idiot.
