disappointment? Probably, but there is still the chance that there wont be! Any sane cougar fan will understand that the chance is slim, but all the excitement can only help the team, not hinder it. Would it help the team if we all doubted, or didn't believe in them from the beginning? What kind of fan would I be if I didn't tell myself at the beginning of every season, "This is the year!"? How I handle disappointment is entirely up to me and nobody else! So, I would say, if there is a snowball chance in hell, believe in that chance and try not to take it so hard when it doesn't happen.
