According to Rivals he had the 11th ranked class in the ACC, but according to average stars it was tied for last. Overall his class ranks 61st. That is no way to start a program.
I think excessive loyalty is proving to be a problem. He brought virtually his entire staff with him--despite the fact that many of them have no experience recruiting outside of BYU and don't know anything about recruiting the mid-Atlantic/Southeast. He had a whole off season to dedicate to recruiting, but chose instead to stay off the recruiting trail and coach his old team. He also appears to have kept all of the commits from the previous regime--regardless of whether they fit his system.
I respect Bronco and I hope he does well, but I really question some of his moves. Maybe he is a great program builder and will do a lot with less talent. I hope that for his sake that is the case. So far, I would not bet on him being at Virginia for too long.
