sounds good - the right way to do this is to book the RT and then simply don't show up for the return. Don't call them
and ask for a refund etc. Just don't show up.
And you probably don't want to connect your/his frequent flyer number to the ticket. Just in case...
DL really doesn't like people to "game the system."
