He's was a freshman who contributed, and even started, at the P5 level. Are the
lines at BYU so good that it wouldn't be helpful for him to transfer? Absolutely not. Did you not see how poorly the offensive line played at SJSU this past year? More than ever BYU needs P5 quality linemen. This guy should immediately crack the 2-deep, and possibly start, once he's eligible.
That's why people are excited, not because he's some 5 star prospect. Although it's worth noting that his lack of offers was more due to academic struggles, not his inability to play.

He was a 4 star out of high school with academic issues that got cleaned up his senior year. Hope it works out.
