For the morning crowd, I'd like to hear your advice about doing things daily...
Let me explain what I mean by that. I have come to the realization that I really struggle at doing things that require consistent, daily effort. For example, I have wanted to exercise regularly for years now, but I can never stick with it. I know and understand all the health benefits, but just can't seem to do it regularly. Another perfect example is scripture study. I know that I want to be reading my scriptures more, but again it doesn't happen very regularly at all. I could go on and on with more examples of things I would like to be doing, but I think you get the point. The only time I can think of when I was regularly doing these things is when I was in a program or something that basically forced me to do it. E.g. XC and Track in High School, Gospel study on the Mission... etc.

Now, before you think I'm a total deadbeat (and also so you can just know more about who I am), I think I'm really pretty good at 'getting up' for things that only happen once or infrequently. E.g. I scored >99th percentile on my ACT, and will regularly destroy math / engineering tests here at BYU. I'm great at interviews, and can't remember ever not being offered a job (including internships with high-profile companies)... etc, you get the point again.

I really feel like this has been a crux in my life. There is no way I'm going to be the fit strong person I would like to be unless I can exercise regularly. (I'm 22 yrs old, and pretty skinny). You can't just 'get up' for it every now and then. Obviously, it is a very similar thing with Gospel Study and a very wide array of other skills / talents / abilities.

So what do you think it is? What has worked well for you? I see other people that seem to have no problem with doing things on a daily consistent basis. Is it some change in mental attitude that I need to have? Is there some awesome productivity app / program that you follow? Should I just get married so I can have a wife boss me around to those things? (tic).

Thanks
