RE: Interesting excerpts from Earnest Wilkinson's journal
In the 1970s when BYU went to the U for football games, our team was placed on the east sideline in front of the student section. Since the game was played in November, they pelted the players with snowballs, sometimes "filled" with rocks, etc. throughout the game. Our players had to keep their helmets on during the entire game for protection. If there was no snow, one year the threw pennies at them. The U admin did nothing to stop this. It's been going on for a long time.
