I wouldn't worry about Emery drowning out Seljaas
First - they are different players at different positions. Second - Seljaas combo of size/skill gives Rose versatility that no one else on the roster (maybe Baxter next year?) really gives him. Third - have you seen the kids stroke? Rose won't, in a million years, let that stroke stay indefinitely on the bench. Fourth - he may be the hardest working guy on the team. Rose rewards those guys.

If Seljaas leaves, which he should spiritually speaking, I believe he will come back and be the 6th man on potentially the best BYU team ever and then will probably be the leading scorer for a couple years after that. If he stays, he will be the 6th man on potentially the best run of BYU basketball seasons ever. Either way, it will turn out well for him.
