While I agree that there would be more people if we were better, you cannot compare our basketball fanbase to GU. The Zag fanbase doesn't have football to worry about so they are completely concentrated on basketball. Gonzaga on a down year will still sell out away games. To add to that, most Gonzaga fans have a hard time getting tickets to their own home games, so the only way they'll get to see their team is at an away game or the conference or NCAA tourneys.

BYU fans sellout Portland and San Diego regularly, regardless of the quality of our team. Why we don't have 1,000 more fans showing up at LMU or San Francisco must say something about the BYU fans in those areas.

Last night might also be attributed to the start time and the fact that it was a school night.

The bigger question is: Why can't San Francisco have more students, fans or Alum at their games to sell out a relatively small arena for one of the biggest games on their home schedule?
