Duke Silver All-American
This D-League experiment could not be going any better for Jimmer.
He makes a statement in his debut, scoring 37 points. He is playing in a place he is loved, in his home state of New York. He's averaged just under 23 ppg this season, selected to be an All-Star, breaks the D-League All-Star game scoring record, and is awarded the MVP of the game. Pretty unreal.

I would hope that this opens up some GM's eyes and he gets another shot. The more realistic side of me thinks that the NBA knows Jimmer is a baller, at the college level and now at the D-league level. However, the jump from the D-League to the NBA is a drastic one. Not sure if his performance has proven anything that the NBA doesn't know already. Maybe at this point it's just a matter of him needing to get his swagger and confidence back, which he has clearly done.

If someone picks him up, they have to do so knowing they cannot change who he is. Jimmer is a player who should be coming off the bench for 15-20 minutes to give an offense a boost. He needs a coach that lets him be Jimmer, that means he needs the ball in his hands and has the green light to pull the trigger at will. It'd be fun to see him find a fit like that.
