contender mentioned who is higher ranked is UConn #57 vs. BYU #66. Pitt is tied with us at 66.
All our sports facilities are unmatched compared to other contenders.
Our overall athletic programs, using the Sports Directors' Cup standings as a proxy, outrank all other contenders with BYU # 42 in 2013-14 vs. UConn #57, BYU #48 in 2014-15 vs. USF #73, and BYU #13 in 2015-16 thru fall, vs. UConn #18. In 2013 final standings we would have been sixth of eleven teams if in the B12, in 2014-15 we would have been #8.
Academics, football legacy, facilities, athletic revenues and profitability are all markedly superior to any other contender. If the B12 considers which school would average them up in every category, BYU would win walking away.
But...I doubt all that logic will prevail. When you bring a red-headed child like UWV into your conference, you're not thinking about improving the breed.
