Way I looked at Dreamin was this
It was made for BYU fans point blank. Was made at a point with a lot of emotion for BYU football fans in that our fan favorite and nationally known QB who once again suffered a tragic injury not only for himself (far more important) but also for fans who had been touting his abilities for years and each injury caused more emotion for the fans. Adding to that is a player fans had been waiting to see how good he could really be comes in late in the same game and throws a game winning Hail Mary that's all over ESPN for a week. Then defies the odds and does it again. BYU is all over the national media.

I'll get hammered for this but the talented artist in the video is not only a BYU fan AND it's a hip hop video ABOUT BYU, but he also doesn't look like what those not familiar with the religion expect members to look like. Again I know I'll get bashed for saying that but it's true.

Finally; it's catchy, the production was impressive when u realize the down beat and tempo on the beat and chorus matches the video edits and catches/hits/game highlights perfectly. I can see why some BYU fans may see it as cheesy. But when you consider how rare something like that is about BYU, and the emotion of fans at the time.. It's unique and doesn't hurt the way others unfamiliar with the perceptuon of BYU/church may view them as a whole
