Probably the biggest thing about getting drafted, even in the later rounds, is the signing bonus.
I believe signing bonuses pretty rare with UFA, or at best $10K. Even if you don't make the team as a pick in the 6/7th round you still get the signing bonus. (Maybe around $50K) If you don't make the team as a UFA you get very little. Like a thousand a week during camp.
