the cartridge razors. I use the safety razor, a badger hair brush, and different soaps/creams. It does take more time, but it is overall a little cheaper, I have much less irritation, and I just like it better. The razors are WAY cheaper than the cartridges, but you do probably end up spending more on soaps/creams/aftershaves/etc., so it offsets some of the cost...at least for me.
