Byu's chances are much lower as an Indy than as a G5.

One G5 is guaranteed a NY6 bowl. As an Indy you'd have to get selected as an at-large, and 99 times out of 100 the other teams available are going to be more desirable than a 10-2 BYU, but 11-2 (after the championship game) probably gets you in as a G5 most years.

If BYU is left out...AGAIN...quit fighting and go the the AAC. At least something to play for, IMO.
