He didn't sign with Kentucky in February like everyone else because of the clearinghouse issue but he didn't find out about the issue with the chemistry class until after he had already graduated? Huh? So BYU is in a scholly crunch and just came up with a scholly for a position they aren't hurting in? My guess is he is walking on and has the opportunity for a scholly depending on how things go, like every other walkon in the program.

And yes Talo should have pressed him, he should have learned from the way they handled the Kessman fiasco, were doing the kids PR for him.
