They plan on sending a full sized unmanned spacecraft to Mars and landing it there in 2018 and a possible manned mission in the mid 2020's. That is some thing that has not been done and is well ahead of where anyone else is on their Mars plans, including NASA. Do a little more research on SpaceX.

Is Tesla'a cars any better than Fisker, I don't know. But I do know that Musk has been able to make Tesla a success when most were betting against him, and Fisker failed.

The Mag Lev concept is not new, Musk has never claimed it was. And it does present a lot of challenges, and who knows if anything will ever happen. But Musk has succeeded where others have failed, I wouldn't bet against him.
