Most fantasy writers are terrible, terrible writers. Their readers over look the
flaws because they are mostly only interested in the plot line.
However, if by "other genres" you mean "teen romance novels" or "vampire novels for girls" then yes, I agree that most fantasy writers are at least better than that.
