One of the most spiritual church meetings I've attended...ever. I won't go into a lot of what was said, b/c I feel like those things are special and not meant for advertisement on a public forum. Just a couple interesting notes:

1 - We got there 1.5 hrs early and had 3rd row seats (the first two were reserved for family and friends of speakers). Kaufusi came in and sat right in front of us...he turned and talked to my boys (and a few other boys that were on the same row). I talked to him about how early NFL career is; he said he's learning a lot and said he thinks he'll get some playing time his rookie year. I told him be ready to go, in the NFL your always just one play away (injury) from being "the man". He chuckled. Very friendly and personable...he remembered my boys from the Mid Tenn St. game a few years back, really awesome guy. Maybe my favorite BYU player of all time.

2 - It was interesting to hear Coach Ken and Sitake openly talk about how Coach Ken was t̶h̶e̶ ̶f̶i̶r̶s̶t̶ ̶c̶h̶o̶i̶c̶e̶ given first consideration for the job and how they both came about to where they are now (Ken staying at Navy and Sitake BYU head coach). I thought it was really cool how they both openly addressed it.

3 - Coach Ken did say it was very tempting to go to BYU because with Taysom his offense that he runs at Navy would be almost unstoppable at BYU. I'm not sure if he was serious when he said this, or if he was jut giving props to Taysom for being a great player and never really intended to run the Navy offense at BYU...but given the amount of speculation CB had on the topic, I thought it interesting and worthwhile to mention.

4 - Coach Ken and Sitake are men of God. Again, I won't go into the spiritual nature of their remarks, but needless to say I was very impressed by both of them...any program with either at the helm is in very good hands.

5 - Oh, and Detmer and Taysom were of course awesome, and very gracious. All stayed around prob for an extra 2 hrs just to shake hands, take pics, sign autographs, etc...
