with most of the posts being sharing your opinion and trying to get others to change their opinions, which is a little weird to me. You aren't going to change the minds of any optimists, and you don't know anymore about it than they do, even though you act like you do. And you want to rub it in their faces and say "I told you so" if you end up being right, that's a weird attitude to have towards fans of the same team you cheer for.

Also while there are some nice things about being independent, it's certainly better than the MWC, it is not better than the Big 12. The people in charge at BYU, who know a whole bunch more than you or I do about all the pros and cons of both Indy and the Big 12, they very much want in the Big 12. The Big 12 is not going anywhere as long as Texas and OU are there, Texas isn't leaving because they won't get a better deal from another conference, and they won't hold as much power as they do in the Big 12. And even if OU threatens to leave, they won't, all the threats of leaving are simply negotiating tactics and nothing more.

For the record, I am not getting my hopes up, and really I don't even talk about it that much.
