The reality is that there will always be overlap in the recruits that Utah and BYU are going to offer, and I would suggest that the number will continue to increase since Kalani will try to recruit the same type of players he had at Utah and reach out to kids who Bronco wouldn't have offered. Some of those recruits will choose Utah, some will choose BYU and most of them will choose neither. For example, in the 2017 class there are 46 recruits who have offers from both schools. One has committed to Utah (JC DT John Penisini), none have chosen BYU (yet) and 18 have committed to schools other than Utah and BYU.
